Aurelio Pérez is a senior associate at Littler Mendelson, where he represents employers in a broad range of labor and employment matters arising under state and federal law, and before federal and state agencies, including the Department of Labor Standards Enforcement, the Internal Revenue Service, the National Labor Relations Board, California’s Public Employment Relations Board, and California’s Employment Development Department. He has assisted employers of all sizes, ranging from start-ups to global corporations in compliance, acquisitions, and litigation.
Aurelio has gained substantial experience in defending employers against state- and nationwide wage and hour class actions during his time at Littler. From compelling arbitration to opposing conditional and Rule 23 certification to navigating class discovery and ESI challenges and preparing for trial, Aurelio has had the opportunity to develop and utilize a broad skillset.
Aurelio is also a member of Littler’s Wage and Hour, Employment Tax, and Traditional Labor Law Practice Groups. Aurelio received his J.D., Ph.D. and M.A. degrees from UC Berkeley and completed his undergraduate studies at Swarthmore College. Prior to working at Littler, Aurelio served as a judicial extern to the Honorable Ming W. Chin, Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of California.
