CMCP Member Benefits
Through its programs and initiatives, CMCP provides numerous ways for minority attorneys to showcase their skills, expand their networks and enhance their business contacts and professional development, and for all member types to gain access to minority attorneys they might not otherwise meet. Recognition as a diversity & inclusion leader -- CMCP members are recognized nationally as being dedicated to the advancement of minority attorneys. Your CMCP membership is viewed as affirmation of your organization’s commitment to legal profession diversity and inclusion.
Listing as a member in CMCP’s on-line member directory

List all your organization’s attorneys of color in the CMCP Minority Lawyer Locator – CMCP’s easy to use, readily searchable database of CMCP-member minority attorneys by member type, with individual areas of expertise and contact information (free to the public for searches):
In-House Members: Use the Minority Lawyer Locator when you are seeking minority attorneys for outside legal work or potential in-house hires
Law Firm Members: Use the CMCP Minority Lawyer Locator to assist in marketing and networking with member minority in-house counsel
Free job postings on CMCP’s website Job Bank ($50 per posting for non-members)
No cost or discounted rate for CMCP’s networking events, substantive legal programs and professional development programs bring in-house and outside counsel together and held year-long throughout the state

CMCP’s Annual Business Conference – California’s premier annual diversity networking, connecting & education conference:

Law Firm Members: Ability to participate in Corporate Connections, CMCP’s highly successful one-on-one ‘speed dating’ interviews with corporate and government agency attorneys seeking minority attorneys with your areas of expertise
Ability to join a CMCP Subcommittee – an opportunity for member volunteers to expand their networks and showcase their talents
Priority for potential speaking opportunities on CMCP-produced panels & programs:
at member corporations and/or other venues with participation from all CMCP member types
on panels & programs produced by CMCP in coalition with other diversity organizations
CMCP referrals of minority attorneys from member organizations, or individual minority attorney members, to:
corporations seeking minority outside counsel for legal work
corporations, law firms and business groups seeking speakers on substantive law issues

CLE speakers for In-House Members – let CMCP help find high-quality member minority attorneys give CLE presentations in your law department tailored to your specific needs, or minority attorneys with your required expertise to bring into existing law department training programs.

Member Types and Dues
CMCP dues are payable annually, by January 31 for members on a calendar-year dues cycle and July 31 for members on a mid-year dues cycle.

*A Minority-Owned Law Firm is one in which at least 51% of the partners/shareholders/owners are attorneys of color
