INSIDE DIVERSITY VII

JOIN THE CONVERSATION GENERATIONAL DIVERSITY IN THE WORKPLACE

With more Americans postponing retirement, for the first time in history the workforce is comprised of four generations. Has age become a facet of diversity in the workplace? For many organizations, it has. Many professionals believe that the most successful firms and corporations turn generational diversity into an asset, valuing both youth and experience in their pursuit of excellence.

DLA Piper, ACC-SoCal and California Minority Counsel Program (CMCP) invite you to an evening of open dialog examining the impact of generational diversity in the workplace. Chris De Santis, a renowned specialist in management and organization behavior, will open the discussion, explaining how historical events have shaped generational perceptions and values. He will also explore how gender, race and ethnicity overlay generational differences, creating more subtle nuances that impact our work relationships. Our panel will then lead a dialog on the impact generational diversity is having on current diversity and inclusion initiatives and how to better leverage the value that each generation brings to help foster an inclusive workplace.

The evening will conclude with the 2014 Profiles IN Diversity Award and a networking reception.
