Dani T. Nguyen represents major national and regional employers in wage and hour, employment and related business litigation. She has substantial experience defending single-plaintiff lawsuits, class and collective actions and agency investigations. Ms. Nguyen has also litigated trade secret, unfair competition and other complex business litigation cases.
Ms. Nguyen has litigated employment matters in California State and federal courts, as well as before arbitrators, mediators and administrative agencies, including the California Department of Fair Employment and Housing and Labor Department Division of Fair Labor Standards Enforcement, and the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. She also provides advice to employers on a wide range of workplace issues and policies.
Before joining Sanchez & Amador, Ms. Nguyen was an associate with the international law firm of Crowell & Moring, and with Hodel, Briggs & Winter. She graduated from UCLA School of Law in 2008, where Ms. Nguyen served on the board of the Asian Pacific Islander Law Student Association, as a member of the Journal of Environmental Law & Policy, and as a volunteer with El Centro Legal Clinic and UCLA Student Legal Services. For each of her three years of law school, Ms. Nguyen served as her Class Representative to the student body association. She received dual undergraduate degrees in Mass Communications and Political Science, magna cum laude, from U.C. Berkeley, with a minor in Asian American Studies, in 2005.
The California State Bar Association honored Ms. Nguyen with the Wiley W. Manual Award for Pro Bono Legal Services in 2010. She is active in the California Minority Counsel Program, the National Conference of Vietnamese American Attorneys, the Vietnamese American Bar Association of Southern California, and the Asian Professional Exchange. Ms. Nguyen has been named a Southern California Super Lawyers "Rising Star."
