Maki Daijogo has practiced labor and employment law on behalf of employers for more than 18 years. Her clients trust her to provide advice and counsel on compliance with a complex mix of federal, state, and local employment laws. She also conducts workplace training and investigations and represents employers in administrative actions and government audits.
Maki's highest priority is developing long-term relationships with clients -- such as Cinemark Theatres, Clif Bar, Del Monte Foods, Nestlé Dreyer's Ice Cream, Stanford University, The North Face a Division of VF Outdoor. She is proud of her pro bono legal work for Center for Domestic Peace, Home of Marin Abused Women Services (CDP-MAWS), and serves on the Board of the California Minority Counsel Program (CMCP).
Maki and her partner Kristin Pederson founded Daijogo & Pedersen in 2007, after practicing at large, national law firms. Their goal is to offer expertise and responsive service with the cost-savings of a small firm. Maki received her J.D. from the University of San Francisco School of Law in 1993, and holds a B.A. from the University of California, Berkeley.
