Seeking Nominations for Rainmakers for
MCCA's Diversity & the Bar! -
Deadline September 5th

CMCP encourages our law firm members to submit the names of all your minority lawyers who qualify for this national recognition. The criteria for recognition is impressive. Aside from the individual attorney benefits of recognition, having a large group of minority rainmakers profiled by MCCA will help show the economic potential of minority lawyers – a key to making the business case for diversity. The following is from MCCA and sets forth the details:

MCCA plans to profile a select group of prominent minority "rainmaker” lawyers in the November/December 2012 issue of Diversity & the Bar. We feel it’s always important to highlight the professional successes of minority attorneys who continue to lead the industry.

To be eligible, an attorney must have a proven record (i.e., several years) of compiling books of business exceeding $2 million annually, including over the past year. Firms may choose to proffer more than one person, but a firm will not be represented by more than one attorney in the final group. As has been the case in previous iterations, our goal is for the group to embody a wide representation in several areas, including ethnicity, gender, geographic location, and practice area.

For your attorney(s) to be considered for inclusion in this year’s list, please submit candidates directly to joshshields@mcca.com no later than Wednesday, September 5, 2012. The email submission should include the attorney’s ethnicity, gender, geographic location, and practice area. Please also direct questions, comments, and concerns to Josh Shields.
