Participating in the committee provides enhanced visibility with an opportunity to demonstrate legal expertise in your chosen area(s) of practice, and to be recognized by clients, potential clients and colleagues for your proficiency in the field. Participation also helps to develop and refine skills in legal content writing, and provides access to networking and business relationship building activities.
If you have an interest in and enjoy writing, editing or coordinating substantive legal content for publication, conducting interviews and writing profiles of attorneys, and promoting the expertise of your colleagues, the CMCP eNewsletter Committee is for you!
Be a current CMCP member attorney
Have the expertise and time commitment necessary to carry out responsibilities
Have an interest in writing substantive legal content, conducting interviews and coordinating editorial duties
Have an enthusiasm for CMCP and its mission
Actively participate in and contribute to the creation of newsletter content
Write content or seek out & coordinate with writers from your network
Review content submitted to the newsletter
Attend scheduled committee teleconference calls (4-6 per year)
Actively participate in idea generation and content deliberations during committee calls
Attend CMCP events in your area, talk with participants, and write-up event summaries
Promote the CMCP eNewsletter and its content via social media
