LTL is one of the largest minority-owned firms in the country focusing solely on complex business litigation and trials. AV® Rated by Martindale-Hubbell, LTL was founded in 2003 by a group of former Quinn Emanuel attorneys. Today, LTL has 33 attorneys with offices in Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Orange County handling complex commercial, intellectual property, class action, insurance coverage, and employment defense litigation matters for numerous Fortune 500 companies, other global industry leaders, and successful entrepreneurs. In addition, LTL has recently litigated several high profile technology co-founder disputes and also represents leading software companies in licensing and copyright disputes - often on a contingency fee basis.
LTL attorneys include former partners and senior attorneys from other prestigious law firms such as Irell & Manella, Perkins Coie, Paul Hastings, Morgan Lewis, Sheppard Mullin, Goodwin Procter, and Manatt Phelps, as well as the U.S. Attorney's Office and the Federal Public Defender's Office. LTL has received numerous other accolades in recent years, including being named as one of ten firms on the National Law Journal's 2014 Litigation Boutiques Hot List and receiving the 2013 Client Service Award from the California Minority Counsel Program.
"We are incredibly honored to be a recipient of this prestigious award," stated LTL co-founder and managing partner James M. Lee. "We have built LTL into one of the most recognized litigation boutiques in the country. By attracting and developing the best possible talent, we are able to deliver excellent results for our clients. Our trial and litigation skills, our efficient staffing practices, and our embrace of technological and project management innovations, all underscore LTL's commitment to a client-first philosophy. We look forward to exceeding our clients' expectations for many years to come."
About NAPABA and the Award
NAPABA is the national association of Asian Pacific American attorneys, judges, law professors, and law students, representing the interests of over 40,000 attorneys and approximately 70 national, state, and local bar associations. Each year, NAPABA picks a law firm for the award based on two criteria-whether the firm: 1) achieved prominence and distinction while maintaining the highest ethical and legal standards in the profession, and 2) demonstrated commitment to the APA community. NAPABA will present the award to LTL at its Annual Convention on November 7th in New Orleans, Louisiana.
