Komal Chokshi is a Senior Attorney in the San Francisco office of Cooper & Scully, P.C. Her practice focuses on complex commercial litigation, with a focus on the health care industry, as well as medical malpractice. Komal also has significant experience with Alternative Dispute Resolution, having successfully arbitrated and mediated a number of health care cases. She provides advice and counseling to health care start-ups and established health care entities, and has assisted a number of clients with health care regulatory investigations.
In 2015, Komal was selected by the American Arbitration Association as an A. Leon Higginbotham Fellow. She was named a “Rising Star” in Health Care Law by Super Lawyers Magazine in both 2013 and 2014. She enjoys coaching and mentoring and currently serves as a coach and judge for the UC Hastings Negotiation and Mediation Team. Komal participated in the creation of the Bar Association of San Francisco’s latest Goals and Timetable Report for Minority Recruitment and Retention.
Komal earned her B.A. from the University of California at Berkeley in 2000. She earned her J.D. from the University of California at Davis in 2004, where she excelled in trial practice and was a member of the Trial Practice Honor’s Board.
