CMCP Ambassadors Council - Past Events

Meet the New CMCP Ambassadors - Reception

Join the CMCP Ambassadors Council for a private tour of the Museum of the African Diaspora in San Francisco. MoAD offers programs that showcase the art, history, and cultural richness of the African Diaspora. Our goal is to explore and celebrate the beliefs, practices, traditions, and customs connected to these movements.
After the Thrill is Gone: Fashion, Politics and Culture in Contemporary South African Art
The exhibit features fourteen artists who read the political climate of post-apartheid South Africa through fashion’s embrace of the “new.” Signaling an end to race-based legislation and the often violent, discriminatory practices of apartheid and its colonial antecedents, Nelson Mandela’s victory in the 1994 elections marked the transition toward a new South Africa.

Our sincere apologies, we are fully booked for this event but if you would like to be added to the waitlist please email Oliver Santos at

Come be a part of this worthwhile event! Afterwards, we hope you’ll join other CMCP Ambassadors and volunteers for dinner at Goat Hill Pizza

Figuring out how to become a law firm partner or shareholder can be a disorienting, if not outright daunting journey.

Sometimes it can help to get a bit of perspective from someone who has successfully navigated these challenges and is learning how to negotiate the challenges that come after elevation.

The California Minority Counsel Program’s Ambassadors Council (CMCPAC) would like to invite you to an AMA with recently elevated Fox Rothschild partner, Jaemin Chang, and Littler Mendelson shareholder Aurelio Perez (immediate past Chair of the CMCPAC). They will offer their insight on the process they went through and share some tips and tricks they wish they’d known earlier in their careers.

Case Studies of How to Grow vs. Lose Clients
Anita Hsu, General Counsel of MBK Real Estate
Won Hur, Associate General Counsel of Fair
Lael Vaughn, Director of Legal Affairs at St. John Knits
Our goal is to get you love from clients, partners and superiors. We will highlight a few pointers on attorney attributes that we believe the market is starving for. We’re hoping real-life examples and pointers can help you optimize your opportunities to be a great business partner to in-house counsel. We will illustrate behaviors that are not productive or helpful, and offer specific feedback and recommended actions that can take outside counsel’s value to in-house clients to the next level.

Please stay for the networking reception following the program.
