Commercial Litigation, General Business Litigation, International Litigation, IP Litigation, Mediation - Civil Litigation, Patent Litigation
Shella Deen is the Chair of the firm’s Litigation practice, and for over 24 years has represented clients through all phases of litigation. Her practice focuses on complex business disputes involving intellectual property, patents, trade secrets, breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, fraud, and unfair business practices. Shella’s clients, many of which are publicly traded, global high tech companies, appreciate her ability to quickly analyze a dispute and determine the most practical manner for resolution, be it through early dispute resolution or trial. Prior to Hoge Fenton, Shella practiced law in South Kensington, London. Because of her expertise in global business disputes and her fluency in several languages, Shella is frequently consulted by clients and attorneys in disputes involving international companies, parties and transactions.
Recent Matters, include:
• Obtained early dismissal of a contractual dispute lawsuit by demurrer and award of substantial attorneys’ fees and costs for public entity.
• Successfully negotiated a very favorable settlement for a software company (online and mobile banking) in its lawsuit for declaratory judgment of non-infringement and invalidity of patents.
