Birmingham High School Student – "Before seeing this film I was not aware of the sacrifices that had been made to secure voting rights for everyone. Now I will vote."

About the film:
The film profiles Mr. James Armstrong – a barber and foot soldier who cut hair (including Dr. Martin Luther King's), had his children integrate an all-white elementary school and marched on Bloody Sunday across the Pettus Bridge to demand voting rights for all Americans. His story is summed by his quote: "Dying isn't the worst thing a man can do. The worst thing a man can do is nothing." No one can accuse Mr. Armstrong of doing nothing.

Directed by Gail Dolgin and Robin Fryday
Produced by Gail Dolgin, Robin Fryday and Judith Helfand
Executive Producer: Chicken & Egg Pictures
